A Man and His Music

 

The Joyce Marshall Academy's launch concert took place on January 24th 2009 at Langstone Village Hall. The Academy played host to world-renowned Musical Theatre star Peter Karrie. The event was a huge success and raised vital funds for the Langstone Village Hall Trust.

 

Think Pink!

 

The Academy held a concert and pink fashion show in aid of Cancer Research UK. The event took place at The Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel and Spa, Usk, on Sunday 17th May 2009. The Think Pink! event raised a fantastic £2020.18. Click here for more.

 

The Little Hedgehog's Journey

 

On 21st November 2009, during the Junior students' performance of The Little Hedgehog's Journey, the Academy held a collection for Langstone Primary School after learning of the theft of plants and equipment from the students' school garden, raising £45.39. Keep checking back for more...

 

Don't Give Up!

 

From September 2009, students from The Joyce Marshall Academy will join with students from Cor Casnewydd, and over 1000 young people from Newport county, in  learning an original pop song written by our Academy Principal. All proceeds from this project will go to Tenovus Cancer Charity.

The Joyce Marshall Academy of Performing Arts has also pledged its support to the St David's Foundation charity events in the build-up to Christmas. More to follow...

 

Christmas Spirit!

 

As part of its ongoing commitment to the community of Langstone, the Academy has pledged to continue to support the work of the Langstone Village Hall Trust, and will be involved in the festive events in the local community.
