Can I join the Academy at any point in the term?
Of course! We welcome new students throughout the year and, if you join part of a way through a term, you only pay for what's left! Also, if you come along to one of our Friend for Free days, you could save even more!

Do I have to audition to join?
No! Our emphasis is on inclusivity and we welcome children of all abilities and levels of experience. We only run auditions for bursaries and scholarships or to cast for parts in performances, when necessary. We do, however, work on audition technique in class, to assist pupils with any auditions they may be doing outside of the Academy.

Do I qualify for a bursary or scholarship?
That depends. Our bursaries and scholarships are awarded once a year (in January) and you would need to complete the relevant paperwork to check you qualify. We offer 1 full scholarship to the most promising student and 3x £100 bursaries to assist with tuition fees, per year. Contact us for more details.

What makes the Joyce Marshall Academy different?
The Academy maintains a unique balance between education and performance - a balance so popular that it has been adopted by other Stage Schools in the area. We want children to be fully prepared for any potential career in the arts and give them the best start in their lives by our strong focus on achieving qualifications. This gives them an edge over other students who have simply spent many years on the stage.
We understand that performance experience is also vital, and therefore our children frequently perform throughout the year in high-profile venues, with outstanding professionals from the industry, and also in smaller-scale community events.

How much does tuition cost?
Tuition is just £155 per term and can be paid in two installments of £77.50. Bursaries and Scholarships are also available.

What if I want to leave the Academy?
We simply require 4 weeks notice in writing, as stated in our Terms and Conditions. |
