Our Patron
Our Patron, Joyce Marshall, is a retired Soprano from South Wales who shot to fame in the 1950s after replacing Tom Jones at a local gig! Ms. Marshall is still very passionate about the Performing Arts, particularly music, and is thrilled that she has the chance to share her great love with children at the Academy.
A note from our patron
“First of all, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of our new parents and pupils here at The Joyce Marshall Academy, and to thank our old parents and pupils for their loyalty, support and dedication. I have witnessed the fabulous development of the Academy's students in the last few years, and this is testament to the support of the families who make the Academy possible.
From a very early age I have always had a great passion for the Performing Arts from the shows I would put on with my friends in our street as a child to the auditions, competitions and recordings as a professional singer.
I believe that music is one of the greatest gifts you can give to a child and is wonderful in its unique ability to bring people together from all around the world and all walks of life. Performing develops confidence, social skills, encourages dedication and allows you to meet many new people and make many new friends and The Joyce Marshall Academy hopes to provide all of these exciting opportunities as well as inspiring children in the field of Performing Arts. Our staff is well qualified and very enthusiastic and will do everything possible to ensure that your child flourishes both in class and as a person." |
